Time Freight was established by Ivor Keppler as a Natal road-based operator in 1984. The business was expanded in 1991 with the purchase of Cheetah Express, to incorporate Gauteng and the Mpumalanga regions. In 1999 Time Freight was acquired by The Laser Group and in April 2002 amalgamated with Goeie Hoop Vervoer . Time Freight thus became a national road express operator, trading under Laser Logistics Pty Limited. During January 2007 the Laser Group entered into new partnership venture with Geopost, a parcel distributor specialist made up of Express subsidiaries of the group, La Poste.
