n 1989, with a workforce of four, Mr Sauce started manufacturing and distributing sauces to the hospitality industry. By 1993 the employees has doubled to eight, and 20,000 litres of sauce were produced from our 400m2 rented building in downtown Johannesburg. Only a year later, we appointed our first food technologist and saw our customer base tripled. The increased demand for our sauces necessitated relocation to a bigger premises in City Deep. We also started our first supply of value added products to the retail industry. Ten years later, in 2004, we relocated once again due to size constraints. We purchased a 5,000m2 building in Steeledale which still serves as our Johannesburg offices and production facility. 2005 saw the opening of the Durban branch in New Germany. At this time our full time food technologists were experimenting with existing ideas and formulating new products, cementing our continuous strive to better our already high quality and ever-expanding offering.Cape Town was next in line and
