The name `Masorini comes from a late Iron Age site that can be found on a prominent hillside 12kms from the Phalaborwa Gate in the Kruger National Park. The site was inhabited by the Sotho speaking Ba-Phalaborwa tribe during the 1800s who developed an advanced and sophisticated industry of mining, smelting iron ore and trading in these iron products The lodge was born in 1998 and results from a passion for the African bush. It is owner built and operated and ensures a personal and enlightening visit.
