In 1970 Charless son Paul founded Paul Bothner Music in Claremont, in Cape Towns Southern Suburbs. Gradually the business expanded and incorporated the expert partners and associates, synonymous with the Bothner legacy, notably Keith Blacher and Roy Viljoen. Paul Bothners son, Charles Bothner, currently oversees operations. Today Paul Bothner Music consists of nine stores. Five of them service the greater Cape Town area and enjoy the status of premier musical instrument retailer in the Western Cape. We also have branches in the rest of the country, but with other names. Our Centurion branch is Jean Village Music, the Durban branch is Glenwood Village Music, and our Kimberley and Bloemfontein branches are both called DV Village Music.
