Honeydew Dairies (Pty) Ltd was established in August 2014. It is a supplier shareholder model. During 2015 it acquired Stonelees Dairies and Honeydew Dairies. Over the years the main business has been Fresh Dairy Products and Fruit Juices which has been marketed under various brands to all the major chain and convenience stores. All the products manufactured were marketed through the cold chain with the limitation of a short shelf life. The combined company is owned by 31 dairy farmers in Kwazulu-Natal. Each farmer has a shareholding in direct relation to the number of litres they supply. Dairy Day farmers hold 85% of the shares of the operating entity.
