Elba Chemicals had its beginnings in 1975 and was founded by Barry Cobbledick whose training was with the Chemserve Group. Selven Moodley, also ex Chemserve joined him and ran the production and is still with the company and a major shareholder today.Elba Chemicals has been serving the cleaning chemical needs of industry in KwaZulu Natal since 1975. Over the years the range of products has been grown and improved as technology has advanced thus keeping our products up to date and with performance characteristics and quality on a par with Europe and the U.S. In order to provide the service levels demanded by industry we have our own factory situated in Southgate Business park in Umbogintwini with many products bearing SABS marks and our factory conforming to ISO 9001:2008. Elba Chemicals is a Level 2 contributor to B-BBEE and as such enjoys 125% procurement recognition towards BEE. The certificate is available on this website for download.
