Shayona began from the in 1999 specializing in sweetmeats and savouries, with a bit of takeaway on the side. Everything was made on the premises, starting from paneer to ghee to sweet made with imported buffalo milk powder. In 2004, they expanded their operations, and what was a 25 sqaure metre one shop show emerged to a fully equipped restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. They have since then grown to establish their name of the wholesome food in Laudium, Lenasia and Cape Town. They undertake catering contracts for weddings and any other functions.
