The Greek Sizzler first opened its doors in 1995 with the first little Taverna at the Randburg Waterfront. Two years later, in 1997, Banbury Cross Village welcomed a larger and improved Greek Sizzler, still owned and managed by the founders and owners of the original restaurant - Costa and Juanita. The Greek Sizzler's success is due to a combination of a good manager and Costa's hands-on approach. Through the years, several managers have come and gone, each leaving their own mark behind, some more than others. Many may remember back to 1997, when Taki was around to greet guests, and until recently, Slavi held the reigns for almost a decade. After serving guests for may years, Gavin is currently welcoming patrons and managing staff. The Greek people are known for their spirited nature and their love of social eating, sharing good food and drink is as important as life itself.
