Radio Atlantis is a community radio station situated in Atlantis, on the West Coast, about 50 km outside Cape Town, in the Western Cape Province. Established on 1 September 1995, Radio Atlantis gives a voice to our community and seeks to empower through education and information. Radio Atlantis is also a provider of training for media practitioners and community historians. We aim to promote an awareness and culture of human rights by enabling organisations and individuals to tell their stories through our broadcasts and projects. Our community is predominantly black and female. Our programming schedule covers all age groups and all social sectors. We have a listener-ship of between 50 000 and 90 000,providing a voice to our community while being a source of education and information.
