Southern Oil (Pty) Ltd is a modern oil extraction plant and edible oil refinery situated in Swellendam and are committed to the provision of the Healthier alternative oils. In 1993 the first canola crop was planted in South Africa. Three years later Southern Oil Ltd (SOILL) was built with the objective to process locally produced seeds and stimulate the growth of this new product. Seeds coming from the farmers in the Overberg region are graded, cleaned and stored in silos until used for manufacturing. The final product is refined, bottled and branded with our B-well label. Soon after, the crushing and refining of Maize (Corn) Oil began and in 2009 Southern Oil (Pty) Ltd produced the first batch of Refined Grapeseed Oil. These premium products are distributed Nationwide and Internationally.
