Lumotech Pty Ltd. Lumotech commenced operations in South Africa in 1957 under the name of Derek Riley and Co. Pty Ltd. In 1967 the factory moved to Uitenhage, and the Companys name was changed to Hella South Africa Pty Ltd. In 1989, Hella Germany sold 40 percent of its shareholding to Metair Investments Limited. In 1993 Metair acquired the balance of the shareholding. In March 2009 the companys name changed again to Lumotech Pty Ltd.Lumotech has a BBBEE level 3 rating which is supported by Metairs full empowerment status.
