. Ismail (Miley) Ajam started the label in 1986. As an ardent sports enthusiast, (Provincial Soccer, Hockey, Cricket and Tennis, Professional Football: PE United and Manning Rangers) he saw the opportunity in the market place for something new and different and set about the creation and manufacturing of the brand. Initial orders were one off garments made for individuals and sporting clubs, etc. and larger orders soon followed. Over the years the demand for the product has increased and orders have been received from throughout South Africa and also Namibia. The growth in the label and the company resulted in Miley being awarded the National Emerging Entrepreneur award in 1989 by the South African Institute of Marketing.
