In the mid-nineties Thrutainers International established customs franchised Cargo Freight Stations (CFS), which were named Thrutainers Containers Depots (TCD) and serviced the main South African sea ports and Johannesburg.Due to our strategic focus and a change of ownership as a result of the new Companies Act ( 71 of 2008 ), TCD was re-branded to Intermodal Cargo Solutions (ICS) forming an independent entity.With global markets still in turmoil in 2012 and, in order for the group to thrive in a market of uncertainty, continued investment in infrastructure became necessary.
