The school started in 1895 as a Chapel School with 26 learners, which makes Gordons Bay Primary School a staggering 122 years old. At the inauguration of the new school building in 1980 there were 168 learners. Nowadays there are 656 learners, and the numbers are growing fast. Our school has undertaken several exciting projects during the last few years. Gordons Bay Primary School is a modern, progressive school that gives the learners all the opportunities to excel. Our staff is very competent and will always walk the extra mile when needed. GBPS has developed its own traditions over time, and has contributed largely to the academic growth, spiritual and personal development of thousands of young people over the years.the school is still the core of the town and its community.
