Pro Nobis had humble beginnings when in 1975 parents wanted to start a school for their children who would not benefit from mainstream education The first eight learners and one educator started in a small house McKenzie Street Dundee The beautiful historical building of Holy Rosary Convent in Victoria Street became available and the school started flourishing The building was erected in 1918 Pro Nobis School is for intellectually challenged children that can t cope in a mainstream school setting Some of the disabilities that Pro Nobis caters for are Cerebral Palsy Down Syndrome and Autism There are 260 learners 25 educators 3 therapist and a non-teaching staff component of 89 members New applicants have to attend an application day of which the dates are listed under Events Pro Nobis
