We strive to be leaders in the community. Town centre 1980: Namso Drapers was started in Town Centre Mitchells plain in 1980, Polka Place to be exact. It was a family business with branches in Athlone, Gatesville, Westridge and Rocklands. We sold everything from baby clothes to curtains to pantyhose. Namso Sports 1991: In 1991 Namso Sports was born as we saw the need for a `takkie store. Namso Drapers slowly transformed into Namso Sports until there was no more drapery left just sports. At that time there was no big chain stores or small enterprises selling takkies. Some of the more popular brands at that time was North Stars, All Stars, LA gear, Power, Hi-tec, Troop. From there we grew from strength to strength and as our customer base expanded so did our sports line and our competitors.
