The Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre has become renowned as a Music Centre par excellence. Quality practical tuition in all the symphonic instruments is maintained throughout and this Music Centre affords young South Africans the opportunity to prepare themselves to compete internationally. It is the aim of the Music Centre to provide pupils with the opportunity of experiencing all the variations of musical performance, ie solo playing, chamber music and orchestral playing. All students at the Centre are involved in string or wind orchestras. More advanced students can participate in the symphony orchestra. Young musicians and orchestras are often given the opportunity to perform in public. Beginners may rent instruments on request.
