Cheshire Homes for the Disabled is a public benefit trust governed by the constitution. It is also a bottom up organisation structured around community needs where local communities recognise the needs relating to persons with disabilities. The community then approaches Cheshire Homes to assist in meeting these needs. A joint steering committee is then formed which in time becomes the management board of a new service delivery unit. In this way the number of local services grows while new branches are added.
