. The mine was started by two brothers, Vincenzo and Antonio Ciolli, who originated from the Abruzzi province in Italy. From 1939 until 1951, the Ciolli Brothers quarried the yellow/white stone from a deposit located next to the river at Klipheuwel. They did this on land owned by the Railways. The Ciollis supplied 4 rail trucks. Ciolli Bros is a 3rd generation family business situated in the Durbanville Hills area, 25km from the Cape Town CBD. Our focus is to sell competitively priced quality Aggregate products to the building and construction industries. Over the years our product offering has expanded to include all the traditional components of an Aggregate group. In October 2008, Ciolli Readymix was started on the Ciolli Bros premises with 2 concrete mixing plants and 6 readymix trucks.
