Advance Packaging Technologies began in 1987 as a bag supplier to the local agricultural market, consisting of mostly potato farmers. We grew and re-branded to reflect the changing technologies of our industry. Today, we are an important supplier to the Automotive, Food and the Industrial industries covering the continental US, Mexico and CanadaRob Cohen purchased Advance Bag Manufacturing Company, an agricultural packaging supplier in 1987. With a background in the industrial packaging industry, Rob hired his first salespeople in 1988 and began the transition to industrial & food packaging. The company grew by being a full service supplier focusing on films and bags, utilizing the then new technology of co-extruded films to offer innovation and cost savings to its customers. The growth forced a move in 1990 to our current location in Waterford, Michigan.
